Our Services
ISBN Registration Service India
Every published book needs an ISBN. We handle the entire registration process so your book is officially listed and available through bookstores and libraries.
What Is ISBN and Why You Need It
ISBN (International Standard Book Number) is a unique 13-digit number assigned to your book. It is required for selling through Amazon, Flipkart, bookstores, and libraries. Without an ISBN, your book cannot be cataloged or ordered through standard book distribution channels. Every edition (paperback, hardcover, ebook) needs its own ISBN.
We Handle Everything
Applying for an ISBN in India involves paperwork with Raja Rammohun Roy National Agency for ISBN in New Delhi. We handle the entire process — application form, publisher details, title information, and follow-up. Once issued, we generate the ISBN barcode and place it on your book's back cover. The whole process takes 2-4 weeks.
Included with Publishing Packages
ISBN registration is included at no extra charge with all our publishing packages. If you only need ISBN registration as a standalone service (you are handling printing elsewhere), we offer it separately as well.
Pricing
Included free with all publishing packages. Standalone ISBN registration: Rs 1,500 (includes application, barcode generation, and title listing).
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I get an ISBN for an ebook?
Yes. Ebooks need their own ISBN, separate from the print edition. We can register ISBNs for both print and digital editions of your book.
How long does ISBN registration take?
Typically 2-4 weeks from application. We submit all paperwork and follow up with the ISBN agency on your behalf. Rush processing is sometimes available but depends on the agency.
Is the ISBN registered in my name or yours?
If you publish through Sapatrishi Publications, the ISBN is registered under our publisher name (standard practice). If you want the ISBN in your own name or your own imprint, we can arrange that too — you will need to register as a publisher first.
