https://saptrishipublication.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Surinder-Front.jpg477770Author - Surinder Singh Kangvi Published By - Saptrishi Publications Subject - Poetry ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਕੰਗਵੀ ਨੇ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਗ਼ਜ਼ਲਾਂ ਤੇ ਕਵਿਤਾਵਾਂ ਵੀ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਪਰੰਤੂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਤੌਰ ' ਤੇ ਗੀਤਕਾਰ ਹੀ ਮੰਨਿਆਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗ਼ਜ਼ਲ ਅਤੇ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਚੇਤਨਾ ਦਾ ਪਾਸਾਰ ਹਨ। ਗੀਤਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਉਹ ਬਿਰਹਾ ਦਾ ਕਵੀ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਉਭਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਸਲ ਵਿਚ ਜਿਸ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿਚ ਔਰਤ-ਮਰਦ ਦੇ ਰਿਸ਼ਤਿਆਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਰੋਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਰੋਕਾਂ ਹੋਣ ਉੱਥੇ ਬਿਰਹਾ ਦੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਥਿਤੀਆਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਬਿਰਹਾ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਬਣੇਗਾ। ਜੋ ਕਵੀ ਜਿੰਨੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਸੱਟ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਵੱਡਾ ਸ਼ਾਇਰ ਬਣ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਸ਼ਰਤ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਵੱਡੀ ਸੱਟ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਨੂੰ ਰਚਨਾ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਬਟਾਲਵੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਢਾਲ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ। ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਕੰਗਵੀ ਨੂੰ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਨੂੰ ਗੀਤ ਦਾ ਜਾਮਾ ਪੁਆਉਣਾ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਦੁੱਖ ਦਰਦਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਫੇਰੇ, ਸੇਕ ਆਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ । ਚੰਦ ਦੀਆਂ ਰਿਸ਼ਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਰੰਗ, ਅੱਜ ਕਿਉਂ ਲਗਦਾ ਫਿੱਕਾ ਫਿੱਕਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਡਾ. ਕਰਮਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ
